Mic reached out to me through an online ad I had advertised, expressing his and his wife Chris’s desire for a weekend retreat, a second home away from the bustle of daily life. With a penchant for fishing and golf, the ideal location for them naturally emerged: a condo nestled by the tranquil shores of Monroe Lake.
Our first meeting took place against the backdrop of The Pointe, where we explored five promising properties on a picturesque fall Saturday. The vibrant foliage set the scene, with deer gracefully roaming the area. While I always find joy in touring properties, being close to the water and surrounded by the beauty of nature elevates the experience. Getting to know Mic and Chris, both down-to-earth and blessed with a great sense of humor, added an extra layer of enjoyment. It’s moments like these that reinforce the adage – love what you do, and you’ll never work a day in your life.
Although the initial condo offer didn’t materialize into a deal, I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason. A few days later, a fully furnished, remodeled condo hit the market—a delightful surprise for anyone seeking a weekend or vacation home. Mic and Chris swiftly submitted an offer, and this time it was accepted. In a matter of weeks, we closed the deal, just in time for them and their family to savor Thanksgiving in their new home away from home.
As a REALTOR, the joy of helping people enhance their lives and create more meaningful family moments is why the role never feels like work.
